About Us
Our Society, proudly hosted by St George Leagues Club, was established over sixty years ago and is now one of the largest amateur photographic clubs in NSW. Our members range from complete beginners to experienced professionals. Some have recently discovered photography, while others have been with the Society since its beginnings in 1963. Among our membership are national and international award-winners, as well as accredited camera-club judges. Above all, our members share a genuine passion for photography and a willingness to support others in learning and growing.
We meet every Thursday Night at 7.30pm and provide the following monthly. (more details are on our homepage)

Our Society is a welcoming place to make new friends, enjoy photography, and have fun. Our host club in Kogarah provides us with an excellent meeting room and access to fantastic facilities. Many members like to arrive early to enjoy the bistro, which offers a great variety of meals at very reasonable prices.

Our hardworking committee members work behind the scenes to create a fun, supportive, and educational environment for all our members. Every member of the committee is a volunteer, contributing their time and skills to keep the Society running smoothly. They handle tasks such as sourcing presenters and judges for our sessions, maintaining the website, managing membership records, running meetings, and ensuring the Society operates in line with our constitution.
Planning the annual schedule of events is always a challenge, but we face it with trust, teamwork, and a shared commitment to our goals. Our main priorities are to conduct the Society’s business safely and efficiently, while providing the most engaging, stimulating, and enjoyable events possible for our members.

Welcome - Team
Our Welcome Team is the friendly first point of contact for guests and members at our events and meetings so you can feel comfortable. They greet attendees, help newcomers feel comfortable, and ensure everyone knows what’s happening. The team also looks after refreshments, organises prizes, and manages club merchandise.

Outings - Team
Our Outings Team plans and coordinates our monthly photography outings as well as our yearly weekend away. They organise locations, dates, and activities, and share all the information members need to join in. By creating opportunities to explore new places and practice photography together, the team helps members connect, learn, and be inspired through real-world shooting experiences.

Evaluations - Team
Our Evaluations Team supports members with submitting their images for evaluation. They assist with entering images into the online portal and coordinate our monthly evaluation nights. Their role is to ensure the process runs smoothly, help members feel confident participating, and create a constructive environment where photographers can learn and grow through feedback.

Club Events - Team
The Club Events Team organises our social activities, including events such as bowling nights and trivia nights.
